The 100th Episode

This blog entry marks the one-hundredth in the history of the "Chicks Dig McLovin Awkwardly in the Morning instead of at Night" blog since it's inception on Monday, February 11th. It took awhile to get here (only six months and one week), but we've somehow made it this far.

I had several different ideas (a top 10 list of what I thought were the best posts or an overall recap of six plus months of blog entries, or a rundown of some of the rumors we've had on the site, topped off by the latest one involving a Red Sox catcher and sideline reporter - if true, this is outstanding) of what this post could contain, but Friday night, it hit me as to what this post would be - something of a little more significance.

Instead of looking back, I'm going to use today's entry to extend a big word of congratulations to WEEI and NESN for having the Jimmy Fund Telethon on Thursday and Friday last week. They not only reached their goal of raising $4 million, they shattered that mark by raising over $4.8 million.

Hopefully, the money raised will go a long way towards making "You have cancer" three words that no person, parent or child will think of as a potential death sentence.

So again, congratulations to WEEI and NESN for a job well done.

On a personal note, the first 100 posts have been fun. Thanks to all of those who've stopped by for a visit over the past six months. It's been great having you. Feel free to come back on a regular basis to check out the next 100 posts.
